Terra Universal’s Ionizing Blow-Off Gun eliminates static charges on any surface through ionization. Ions are generated from the ambient air and propelled towards the charged surface using either nitrogen gas or compressed air, making it suitable for static control in a cleanroom. Within seconds, the positive and negative ions will neutralize any charged surfaces that they come into contact with. The Ionizing Gun is an excellent addition to any ESD program where non-conductive surfaces render electrical grounding useless. Not only will this static ionizer protect sensitive electronic devices from electrostatic discharge, it will also prevent electrostatic attraction (i.e. static cling) from causing particle contamination in sterile medical device manufacturing or semiconductors.
