Public land duck hunting in California at its finest. We walked onto a public refuge and had one of those rare mornings where everything worked. Ducks were flying in packs, locking up, and cupping hard over the decoys.
With just 18 decoys, 1 mojo, and 1 pulsator, we pulled off a two-man limit of pintail and ring-necked ducks before 10AM. Non-stop action, clean finishes, and some of the best decoying you’ll see on a public hunt in Cali.
This is proof you don’t need a massive spread or private land to have an unreal duck hunt—just the right setup and being where the birds want to be.
