THE Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Laguna Provincial Field Unit busted P12 million worth of illegal cigarettes and vape products in Silang, Cavite on Tuesday, resulting in the arrest of four suspects.
Broken down, the seized items amount to P5,040,000 worth of undocumented cigarettes and P6,960,000 worth of unregulated vape products.
The CIDG said the four suspects were caught selling illicit cigarettes and operating an unauthorized vape manufacturing setup. The suspects failed to present any license to operate or documentation authorizing the manufacture or selling of such items.
