Actually, we had NO IDEA how much work is involved in building out our island homestead. I mean, just creating space in the forest is a massive undertaking. There's so much effort required in terms of getting supplies and equipment to the island, building our tiny cabin, our outdoor bathroom facility, trails, outbuildings, solar racking... the list goes on and on. But you know what? It is SUPER REWARDING!

We might not be your regular homestead pioneers, we are just a different sort and the struggles and rewards are real! Through the highs and lows, we wouldn't trade it for anything. We are grateful each day and love every second of it!!
