Kriti Sanon biography and profile -
Kriti Sanon was born on 27th July, 1990 in India's capital city New Delhi. Her father Rahul sanon is a chartered accountant while her mother Geeta Sanon is an Associate professor at University of Delhi. Kriti Sanon also has a younger sister named Nupur. Kriti did her schooling from prestigious Delhi Public School, R K Puram. Her inclination towards the glamour world started when she walked the ramp with supermodels Milind Soman and Madhu sapre at an early age of 5. Kriti Sanon later went for an engineering course for her graduation. She completed her Bachelors in technology from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida in Electronics and communication. When her father was transferred to Mumbai from Delhi, Kriti Sanon followed him there.

Although she had a few job offers through campus placements, she chose to try her luck in modeling and acting. Even though her family fully backed her in this new endeavor, she promised her parents to appear in GMAT as an alternate career path. Kriti Sanon is also passionate about dancing and is a trained Kathak Dancer. In fact, she has always been a fan of Madhuri Dixit due to her perfect moves and expressive face.

Kriti Sanon had thought of taking up modeling in 2nd year of her Graduation itself but she needed a portfolio which was quite expensive. Coincidentally, IBIBO.COM was looking for a fresh face for their website ad at the time and they were holding a contest. The winner got to bag a 2-year modelling contract from Elite model Management and a free portfolio done by the iconic photographer Daboo Ratnani. Kriti Sanon won the contest and began her journey as a model. In the years that followed, she modeled for some of the biggest and finest brands like Amul, Cadbury, Closeup, Honda, ITC, Himalaya etc.

Kriti sanon also walked the ramp for several well-known designers at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, Lakme Fashion Week and India International Jewelry Week. Kriti Sanon was a successful and bankable model who had appeared in numerous commercials including the #AsIAm anthem for American Swan featuring Siddharth Malhotra.

She made her first appearance as an actor in Telugu big budget film 1-Nenokkadine alongside superstar Mahesh Babu. The film was highly acclaimed critically. Kriti Sanon debut in bollywood happened with Heropanti which released a year later. The movie received mixed reviews but her performance was largely appreciated. For Heropanti, the actress won a Best Debut Female award at almost every major award function including Filmfare and IIFA. In 2016, Kriti Sanon also starred in Dilwale which was a multi-starrer alongside Shahrukh Khan and Kajol.

Kriti Sanon has been very careful in selecting movies with higher emphasis on script and has been focusing on one project at a time. Kriti Sanon will be a part of movies like Dochay, Raabta, Bareilly ki Barfi and Lucknow Central.
