🐟 *පළමු අදියර* – කුඩා මාළු අල්ලන ක්‍රමය
මුලින්ම ධීවරයෝ (Divers) මුහුදු පතුලේ පිහිටි ගල් අසලට
කිමිදිමින් යනවා. ඔවුන් දැලක් භාවිතා කරල ඒ කුඩා මාළු දැල දෙසට කොටු කරනවා ඉන්පසු මුහුද මතුපිට සිටින ධීවරයන් විසින් ඒ දැලට කොටුවුණු මාළු ඉක්මනින්ම ධීවරයන් එකතු වී දැල උඩට ඇදගෙන පැස කියන ලොකු කූඩයට මෙම කුඩා මාළු දමනව

🐟 *තුන්වෙනි අදියර* – ඇමක් නැති special hook method
මෙම ලොකු මාළු bait කියලා හිතාගෙන hook එක කන්න යන විට,
කටුවට ඇමිණීමෙන් මගහැරීම බොහෝවිට අසීරු වෙනවා.
එවිට ධීවරයෝ ඉක්මනින් line tension පාලනය කරමින්
මාළු බෝට්ටුවට ඇදලා ගන්නවා
කාපු ගමන්ම බෝට්ටුවට ඇදලා ගන්න නිසා,
තැලිලා නැති, හොඳ තත්ත්වයේ පවතියි.

This is a unique and highly skilled fishing method practiced during one-day fishing trips in Sri Lanka.

Although this method is also found in other parts of the world,
Sri Lankan fishermen perform it by going out to sea on a one-day boat trip,
completing the entire process within the same day,
and returning to the harbor with their catch.

🐟 First Step – Catching Small Fish
First, divers swim down to the seabed near the rocks.
They use a net to drive the small fish towards it.
Then, the fishermen at the surface quickly work together
to pull the net up, and the small fish trapped inside
are placed into a large basket called the “Paesa”.

🐟 Second Step – Releasing Small Fish as Live Bait
(The name of this small fish species is Higuro.)
The freshly caught small fish are released alive into the sea.
This attracts large fish such as skipjack tuna and trevally
to come and feed on them.

🐟 Third Step – Special Hook Method Without Bait
These large fish, thinking it is bait, bite the hook.
It is very difficult for them to escape once hooked.
The fishermen then control the line tension
and quickly pull the fish into the boat.
Because they are brought in immediately after biting,
the fish remain in good condition and fresh.

🐟 Final Step – Selling in the Market
The large fish caught using this method
are of very high quality and fetch a good price in the market.
Since they are caught with hooks and not with nets,
the fish are not damaged or bruised
and remain in excellent condition.
