You grew up for that reason. Not to help people, though that's what you really wanted to do with your powers. You weren't just born with powers. You were born with empathy and a caring nature. You grew up raising stray kittens and bandaging butterfly wings. The pinnacle of soft gentle innocence. Until you weren't.
It started with superpower pagents. Performances. Showing off for your rich family's friends at galas and banquets. Then you got gigs doing commercials. Then your YouTube channel started to get bigger. And it snowballed from there. Now you were very famous. Majorly famous. Sixty million followers on Instagram famous. You were America's new top Super. And with that came a lot of responsibilities.
The minute you turned 18, you got yourself a manager. Not just any manager. You hired your best friend from childhood. She was the daughter of your parent's maid. You two would confide in each other, sneak off to play together, all the time as you were growing up. She was always there. And you needed someone you could trust. So you hired her as your manager. You didn't regret it. She worked harder than anyone else you could have hired. She wanted what was best for you.
Now, you're at the peak of your fame. Riding everywhere in limousines, the best hotels, the fanciest food. But you also have paparazzi following you everywhere.
You walk out of the building where you'd been filming an interview. You're immediately surrounded. Flashing lights from cameras, reporter's calling your name. You walk right to the curb and your limo pulls up, with your manager sitting in the back typing away on a laptop. She looks up as you open the door and get in.
