Electrolysis Hair Removal
Electrolysis treats one hair at a time, so it takes longer than laser. It is specifically used for light hairs that don’t respond well to laser. If you have a mix of dark and light hairs, we’ll tailor a plan to get you faster results.

Hybrid plan
At your consultation, we’ll often suggest a hybrid approach:
start with laser to quickly reduce the darker hairs, then finish with electrolysis for the lighter ones that remain. This way, you see visible progress sooner and spend your time where it counts.

Comfort & pain relief
Electrolysis can feel like a brief heat or a sharp tap with each follicle. If you’re sensitive, we can use a local anaesthetic to make it more comfortable. Just let us know, and we’ll plan for it.

How to prepare – simple checklist
• Let the hair grow so we can see it. If we can’t see it, we can’t treat it.
• Remove piercings and jewellery near the treatment area on the day. Electrolysis uses a tiny electrical current, so metal needs to come off.
• Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin on any facial areas to be treated.
• Avoid heavy exfoliation or active skincare acids the night before.
• Stay well-hydrated; comfortable skin tolerates treatment better.

What to expect in the chair
We’ll cleanse, map the area, and get started. Because electrolysis is precise, we focus where you’ll notice the biggest win first—for most people, that’s the upper lip and chin. You’ll feel short, targeted sensations on each follicle; we’ll check in regularly and adjust as needed.

Aftercare in a sentence
Expect mild redness or tiny bumps that settle quickly—keep the area clean, avoid heat and heavy makeup for 24 hours, and follow the aftercare we give you.
