Ramaphosa, Civil society groups "call to action" in support of Gordhan

Описание: Civil society group - the Active Citizens Movement - has launched a "call to action" in support of Finance Minister, Pravin Gordhan. Gordhan, as well as former SARS officials Oupa Magashula and Ivan Pillay have been summoned to appear in court to face fraud charges. Deputy President, Cyril Ramaphosa has offered his moral and political support to Gordhan. Ramaphosa says he has worked with Gordhan in government, in the ANC and in the party's underground structures during Apartheid and remains convinced that he is an honourable person. He also asked South Africans to rally behind Gordhan as he prepares to deliver the Medium Term Budget Statement.
