Bonkati – a little village aside Ajoy River in Birbhum near Ilambazar houses number of things to see. The age old, historical Rekh Deul here wrapped up with the mythical history of Ichai Ghosh, an independent ruler of Gopebhum. Ilambazar itself was once a happening township of East India Company traders and was a distinct hub of clothing and lacca production. In Satkahania village amidst the sonajhuri forest near Bonkati there is another standout exhibit named Tepantar theatre village which worth visiting.
From Kolkata one has to approach the places via Panagarh and the rail-goers should access through Bolpur Santiniketan. In these places only Tepantar theatre village has got some lodging facilities. Or you can stay at Santiniketan and visit these. All other details are given in the video.
