Laura, Sheila & I meet almost every Thursday in life - online for a fun step swap in many percussive dance styles. The group (Steps Across The Pond) began life during cov*d and I was invited to join them just over 2 years ago, to teach this very dance. 31 March 2024 was the first time the 3 of us met in person - ❤️🎶❤️ - Sheila flew down from Michigan, and we hung out at Laura’s place for 3 days. There were organised workshops, and casual step swaps, food and fun, and the local Old Timey Musicians came to play for us one evening, we had a blast dancing our way through the evening. All in all, it was an amazing experience! I got to meet a number of the other members of the group too, as a few live in the DC area.
Oh what joy in dance and friendship.
