Making a Brown Leather Photo Album for Your Loved Ones! | DIY Gift Ideas

Описание: Hello friends, I hope you’re all doing well and welcome back to the channel! In today’s video we’ll be crafting a photo album as a gift project using a lovely textured light brown leather and some black pigskin. This project is a custom made one and is ideal as a personal gift for someone really special in your life since you can put some photos and letters just like back in the day and preserving a nice tradition between you and your loved ones. As you can see in the video, I started working on this project from scratch and made a really quick template for some pieces but I’m currently working on the template and will let you know when it’s ready and where you can get it on my online store.

So the leathers I’m using are quite thick and that will make this album very sturdy and bold which is something good if you’re looking to protect any letter or photo when stored but if you feel it’s too much you can always use your preferred kind of leather and thickness for your project.

You’ll notice we’re working with two new items that we haven’t previously used on the channel which are the collar button and the button setter, you can get these tools directly from The Buckle Guy website, they’re very easy to use and quick to install and if you already have a small hole puncher and poly mallet you’ll have no problem installing your buttons:

For the threads and edge paint I wanted the album to have matching colors as the main leather so I used some Vernis heatable edge paint in Cognac color and Fil au Chinois in Bronze color.
