The steel city of Jamshedpur has been transformed into a high-security fortress ahead of President Droupadi Murmu’s visit on December 29, 2025. A full-scale mock drill was conducted today by the district administration to ensure seamless coordination between various security wings. The President is on a three-day tour of Jharkhand; after reaching Ranchi this evening, she will depart for Jamshedpur tomorrow morning. Accompanied by Governor Santosh Gangwar and CM Hemant Soren, she will headline the historic 100th-anniversary celebrations of the Ol Chiki script and address the 15th Convocation of NIT Jamshedpur before visiting Gumla on the third day.
