A 19th century flat top blanket box dating from 1880, recently stripped of its original paint, exposing a clean and tidy bare wood. It is now ready for waxing or painting.
The original strap hinges can be seen here, on the lift up lid. It is sat on little feet.
These flat top chest's make excellent coffee table alternatives or shoe stores.
