Описание: Last month in Tuscany, James joined the owner of Petrolo winery, Luca Sanjust, along with Luca's son, Rocco, and master vine pruner Marco Simonit for the estate’s annual winter pruning, focusing on old vines of trebbiano, malvasia, sangiovese and high-altitude cabernet sauvignon. The session explored sap flow, pruning wounds, vine health and longevity, with a close look at Petrolo’s historic vineyards, including the Campo Lusso site planted in 2001 beneath the medieval Galatrona Tower. Careful, minimal pruning remains central to preserving live wood and ensuring long-term balance in the vineyard.
