Wat Raeng or the Monastery of the Vulture is located off the city island in the
northern area of Ayutthaya in Khlong Sra Bua Sub-district. The temple was situated just
south of Wat Chao Ya on the western bank of Khlong Pla Mo in an area called Thung
Kaeo.

Wat Laiso วัดลายสอ

Wat Laiso is located off the main island in the northern part of Ayutthaya. This ruin is
situated in a swampy area between Khlong Sra Bua and Khlong Pla Mo. Wat Laiso is one of the most difficult ruins to access. It is found in a
remote area that is covered in heavy vegetation.

Wat Khwit วัดขวิด

Wat Khwit or the Monastery of the Horn was located off the city island in the northern
area of Ayutthaya.

Wat Pa Daeng วัดป่าแดง

Wat Pa Daeng is a temple ruin located off the city island in the northern area of Ayutthaya. There are laterite stonesthst were used in the construction of the chedi, which makes it plausible, that this monastic structure could date from the Early Ayutthaya period (1351 - 1488).

These 4 temple ruins are mostly unknown and not visited by tourists. The remote location and general poor condition make them unremarkable but still fun for lovers of temple ruins and history.
