In this lesson we will use the chords from C major and combine them with the chords from the parallel minor scale which is C minor.
A parallel scale shares the same tonic note with the original scale. In this case it is the tonic major of C major combined with the tonic minor of C minor.
There are other modal parallel scales but for now we will only use the aeolian natural parallel minor of C major to introduce the concept.
