ADF accountability questioned as budget request led to financial 'disaster'

Strategic Analysis Australia’s Head of Research Marcus Hellyer has questioned where the accountability is for prominent ADF personnel after their recommendations to multiple federal governments have led the Defence budget into financial “disaster”.
“That failed ship plan was based entirely on advice from Defence,” Mr Hellyer told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“Defence got exactly what it asked for from the government.
“Here we are down the track, having spent $10 billion and not getting what we wanted.
“Have any heads rolled? I think the answer is no.”
