Описание: The race for the 2028 US presidential election is beginning to take shape as multiple Democrats explore a possible White House bid following the party's historic victory in the 2026 midterm elections.

With Democrats gaining control of Congress and delivering a major electoral setback to President Donald Trump and Republicans, attention is shifting towards the party's next generation of leadership.

Potential Democratic contenders include former Vice President Kamala Harris, California Governor Gavin Newsom, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Pete Buttigieg, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear and other prominent party figures.

According to Reuters, Democratic strategists estimate that at least 30 people may be considering a presidential run. However, no major contender has formally declared a 2028 campaign.
