Knowing that when someone dials 999 in London, a fire engine reaches an emergency call within six minutes, so systems have to work, suppliers have to deliver, and decisions can’t fail and that changes how you approach the job.
Our conversation explores leadership beyond job titles. From resisting the temptation to micromanage in a data-heavy world, to building teams around strengths rather than control, David speaks openly about the lessons he learned moving from technical expert to people leader.
