Sengoku Basara: Battle Heroes - Hideyoshi Toyotomi | Story Mode

Описание: Playing Hideyoshi because he’s the last character on the cover art of the game I haven’t played. His story has him immediately dealing with Nobunaga and Mitsuhide, then proceeding to enact the Sword Hunt policy by attacking and subjugating Itsuki, Motochika, Masamune, Ieyasu, and lastly Hisahide. The ending is very boring to look at honestly. A couple of things to note in the stages:

In the 1st stage, we see the “yellow force” for the first time in this game with Mitsuhide. It's a three-way battle and he and Nobunaga can hit each other here.

The 3rd stage has a giant mecha from Devil Kings (Basara 1) and Basara 2 named a Vertical Tank STOMP in Devil Kings from what I remember. It’s extremely clunky to fight here due to how your character will always automatically move toward the center of it, where it can drop a swinging axe right on you. Not much you can do with that, it’s just the game’s janky movement.

And despite the last stage featuring Hisahide, there’s no mention of Hideyoshi's past with him seen in Basara 2: Heroes here, and they just treat each other as regular enemies. Either the writers of this game forgot about that part in Basara 2 Heroes, or they wrote this before that expansion.

Hideyoshi’s overall decent with good stats, but some of his attacks leave him standing in place for too long and force him to take hits from enemies around. Triangle is a grab that lets him drag an enemy around while dealing damage to both the victim and other targets around. Pretty damaging and it is one of the few times when I can actually move a character freely when attacking in this game. R1+Square is a ground pound with solid damage, but not too much range. R1+Triangle is a slow grab that slams an enemy.

One thing I didn’t mention is that characters don’t level in this game. Their stats are determined solely by weapons and armors you equip, which can be bought from the shop.
