Delhi Election Result 2025 LIVE Updates: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) crossed halfway mark an hour into counting of votes on Saturday. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), however, is not far behind. The counting of votes for the Delhi Assembly elections got underway at 8am.

Several AAP heavyweight leaders, including party chief Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister Atishi, former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, Avadh Ojha were trailing when the early trends came in.

Today’s outcome set to decide whether the AAP will secure a fourth consecutive term or if the BJP will stage a comeback in Delhi after 26 years.

The Congress, which has faced two consecutive electoral defeats, is also looking to make modest gains in the high-stakes contest.

Vote counting commenced at 8am across 19 counting stations spanning 11 districts. As per early reports, security has been tightened across all counting centres.

Shahdara, Central Delhi, East, South, and Southwest districts will each have one counting center, while North, West, Northeast, and Southeast districts will have two each. The New Delhi and Northwest districts will have three counting stations apiece.

Exit polls have largely favored the BJP over AAP, which has been in power since 2015.

The Election Commission reported a voter turnout of 60.54% on Wednesday.

On the eve of the results, political tensions flared outside AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal’s residence as a team from the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) arrived, seeking evidence for his allegations that the BJP attempted to poach AAP candidates.

With Kejriwal refusing to meet the officials at his Ferozeshah Road residence, they served him a legal notice demanding proof of his claims. This development follows an ACB probe initiated by Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena.

Meanwhile, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva has expressed confidence in his party’s performance, predicting a win of nearly 50 seats. AAP, however, has dismissed exit poll
