Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said the World Health Organization supports the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's decision to limit pilgrimage at this year's Hajj.
Saudi Arabia announced it will hold a "very limited" hajj in 2020, with pilgrims already present allowed to perform the annual ritual, as the kingdom moves to curb the biggest coronavirus outbreak in the Gulf region.
