Hi. Matt with etrailer. Today we're gonna be talking about the Titan Chain tire chains on our 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Now, these are gonna be a great set of chains for you if you're looking for something for just more of light-duty situation or something in case of emergencies. So, let's check these out. Now, we are gonna have this on tire size 275/60R20, but this is designed to work with a range of different tire sizes.

So, what I'd recommend doing is putting in your vehicle's information into our fit guide, to make sure you're getting the right one to fit your needs. But like I was saying, this is gonna be great if you're going through light-duty snow, it's an emergency situation that's happened, or you live in a state that requires you to have chains on hand even though you don't need them most times. So, today we're mainly gonna be focusing on some of the benefit of these chains and how the fitting on this 1500. So, let's start with the links themselves. So here up the very top, we are gonna have this roller style.

So, this roller style won't have as much bite as some other ones, but they do lead to a just smoother ride experience overall. 'Cause we're not gonna be biting into hard ground as much, as you can see, they roll over things. And then on top of that, they're gonna be extra small. So, with this Class S style chain, that's important for us today because we don't have a lot of clearance, especially over here by our leaf springs. These are gonna be ladder patterns.

So, with this type of pattern, this is gonna give you a little more traction when you're initially stopping and starting when you're driving around. And these links are being made from a low carbon steel, so they make a softer metal, which usually makes 'em a little more comfortable to drive with. Now, when it comes to what they're gonna come in, this is gonna be a kit of two chains. So, you're going to have one on each of your rear tires as the manual recommends. And something else that they're gonna come in is just gonna be orange bag.

So, it's easy, the spot. But I will say, getting in here can be a little bit difficult 'cause these chains are a bit springy. And then on top of that, if you use it maybe four or five, six times, it could start to really tear through this bag because it's gonna introduce moisture from that snow, and the links just pressing up against a bag could tear through it eventually. So, I'd recommend just investing in a small tote to keep these in, so it's just ease to work with. Now in my opinion, I think this will be a solid choice for, again, anyone who's really not getting into a lot of snowy situations. You wanna stay legal in your state, but you also just wanna be safe just in case you do run into those snowy situations. Now, when it comes to installing them, it's really not too bad. It's only gonna be a couple steps. The biggest thing is just taking your time, being a little bit patient, especially when it is snowy outside. But if you are curious to see that process, just stay tuned. We'll walk you through it. To begin the installation, I like to lay everything out just so we can make sure there's no damages to the links and nothing's tangled up, and we can check if it's in the right orientation. So, what I mean by that is when we come over to these chains, we wanna make sure that these hooks, they should bend over. We want that to be facing up. Once we've done that, then we can just pick this up from the center and drape it over our tire. Just like this. Make sure just try to keep this as centered as possible. So, both not only on the length and excess on each side, but then also on the overhang next to your rim right here 'cause we don't want it making contact with that rim. So, I'm just gonna pull this up some. Make sure it's like that all the way across. And once I'm done with that, then we can make some connections on the backside. When you're making these connections back here, first I'd like to start on the backside because it's a little bit harder if you start with the front and then go to the back. So, we do this in this order. We're gonna take these blocks on the other side, push 'em through this channel right here, that larger opening. You don't wanna get this too tight. Right now that feels pretty good whe
