Snow, Sand, Mud Tire Tracks Deformation in Tyflow, 3ds Max, and rendering in Nvidia Omniverse Create

Описание: In this 3ds Max tutorial I show you how to quickly deform a 3d object to create snow tire tracks using TyFlow. This 3ds Max TyFlow project can also be used to create foot prints or tire tracks in sand, mud, dirt, or any 3d object. For this tutorial I'm using a low poly 3d city model I purchased on cgtrader and the car traffic was rigged and animated using the 4 Wheel extension in the Craft Animations plugin. In 3ds Max, using a new TyFlow simulation, first we'll use a position raycast operator to create the initial snow particles on top of our 3D low poly city, and then use TyMesher to create a blobmesh on those snow particles. After we'll create a second TyFlow simulation, that detects when the snow particles are hit by the wheel collisions and then sends those TyFlow particles to the next event where we can offset the particle positions using the Push In/Out operator. Lastly we'll use the tyParticleSkin modifier to bind the snow mesh to our TyFlow simulation in 3ds Max so that the snow deforms to the wheel tire tracks. I used a tyRelax modifer to smooth everything out as well. I exported my animated meshes as alembic sequences and then rendered everything in real time in Nvidia Omniverse Create using some simple sun lighting and OmniPBR materials.
