With Promising Young Woman’s up for 5 Oscar nominations this year and approaching its upcoming UK release, we caught up with the film's star Carey Mulligan (Drive, An Education) and director Emerald Fennell (Killing Eve).
Carey, Emerald and BBC Radio 1’s film critic Ali Plumb talk about Emerald’s obsession with Britney and how it comes out through in the film, casting “nice” guys throughout and how a fight broke out in the middle of a test screening because the audience had strong, conflicting reactions to one scene in particular.
