Ryobi battery fully charged but defective and wont work

Описание: This is a 18volt Ryobi battery. The battery appears to be fully charged but when plugged into the drill it is not working. Doesn't seem to have any charge in it. But when plugged into the charging adaptor it shows as full charged. Not even the deflective light comes up. So technically the battery should have enough charge to power the drill. Unfortunately it doesn't. Please help. If you have any suggestions or have come across this before and found a way to fix this issue please mention in the comment section. Will be much appreciated.
