And then, in the final minute, Alabama took its first lead of the game.

The Tide exploded on a 29–14 run over the final seven minutes, flipping a deficit into a 71–69 statement win.

Chris Youngblood delivered a season-defining performance — 25 points, 6-of-9 from three, and a team-best +14. Every time Alabama needed a momentum shot, he answered.

Aiden Sherrell anchored the interior for 33 critical minutes. Despite Tennessee grabbing 25 offensive rebounds, Sherrell’s presence kept Alabama within striking distance. Coach Nate Oats called him the MVP — and it’s hard to argue.

Labaron Philon, looking sharp and decisive, hit the go-ahead bucket in the closing seconds. As Oats said afterward, sometimes you don’t overcomplicate it: get the ball in his hands and let him make a play.

Aden Holloway added clutch shot-making late, and the backcourt trio made winning plays when it mattered most.

Alabama finished with 10 made threes to Tennessee’s four and went 11-of-13 from the free throw line. After giving up 16 offensive boards in the first half, the Tide cut that to nine in the second — enough defensive adjustment to survive.

It wasn’t clean. It wasn’t comfortable.
But it was gritty.

After five straight losses in the series, Alabama flipped the script — holding off Tennessee’s final look at the buzzer.
