Heavy Winds Turn Deadly In China | 10 News First

Описание: Three people were reportedly sucked out of their apartments with their mattresses as they slept by typhoon-level winds after violent rain and hail storms struck southeastern China.

Chinese State Media has reported that a total of 7 people have lost their lives, with almost 100-thousand people affected by the massive storms. Footage from within the region has shown balconies tumbling off high-rises, and air conditioners blown out of windows, while more than 2,000 trees were knocked over.

The storms affected 9 cities and were accompanied by sheet lightning, torrential rain and hailstones the size of golf balls. China's weather bureau had issued warnings of violent winds with speeds of up to level 12 on local wind scales, equal to a Category I hurricane.
