Homemade chicken mushroom pies
Ingredients;
1 small diced onion
2 cups sliced mushrooms
1 heaped teaspoon of any flour
1 cup warm milk
1 teaspoon mixed herbs
2 teaspoons Portuguese chicken spice or Badia saizon seasoning (available in US stores)
2 cups shredded chicken or leftover roast chicken
Method
1.Saute the onions in a pan until soft.
2.Add the mushrooms and stir for a few minutes.
3.Sprinkle in the flour and mix well
then pour in the milk and stir until combined.
4.Season with mixed herbs and Portuguese chicken spice or Badia saizon seasoning.
5.Let the sauce simmer gently until it thickens.
6. Add the shredded chicken or leftover roast chicken and stir to combine.
Let it cool down before filling up your puff pastry with it, 😉
