Police have used stun grenades against people whose shacks have been demolished after they threw stones at the Red Ants. The land occupants are being evicted from Brandkop farm near Lourierpark in Bloemfontein. Red Ants have started demolishing the land occupants' structures since early this morning. Some of the shacks were without occupants when they were demolished. The Red Ants are accompanied by the police and Mangaung Metro municipality law enforcement unit.
Hundreds of structures were erected by people who occupied the land since Saturday.
