Описание: A slideshow of author's one year tour of duty on Marcus Island in the Mid-Pacific while serving a four year stent in the USCG. The author was 21 years old at the time and was profoundly affected by the year he spent on this isolated duty LORAN station. Marcus Island taken from the Japaneese after WW11. Has now reverted to full Japaneese ownership and the LORAN station there has been aboandoned since the eighties. But the memories of this unique place remain vivid and are fondly remembered to this day.
