Psalm 109 is a Song of David written at a time when he was being viciously attacked, and malicious lies were being spread about him by some people.
David was deeply hurt by those lies, and he cried unto the Lord for vengeance to be invoked upon his adversaries. It is a powerful prayer for vindication and vengeance - a plea for judgment of false accusers and deceitful foes. It can be very hurtful when someone spreads undeserving lies about you. When you are deeply wounded by these lies, do not attempt to take revenge on your own.
