SPT's Goose: The Road To Flight

While it wasn't the smoothest process, we still came out and launched on schedule, and within 8 weeks of development time. That's what rapid, hands-on engineering gets you. Especially considering none of the team has ever launched a rocket before, we are incredibly happy with how well the rocket performed:

We had never hot fired this engine architecture before flight, and yet Goose still hit heights and speeds rarely seen by a debut collegiate rocket. With this flight, SPT and Cal Poly have now entered an exclusive club of about a dozen schools that have flown liquid rockets. And, only a handful of those colleges have reached the heights we have on our first attempt. Imagine what can happen in another 7.5 weeks...
