‘The Bengal Files’ To Finally Screen In Kolkata Amid “Unofficial Ban” | News9

Описание: Despite facing an “unofficial ban” in West Bengal, filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri’s The Bengal Files will get its first screening in Kolkata on September 13. The invite-only show is set for 4 PM at the Syama Prasad Mookerjee Bhasha Bhavan auditorium inside the National Library. The film revisits the 1946 Direct Action Day riots and is the final chapter of Agnihotri’s Files Trilogy. Unlike The Tashkent Files and The Kashmir Files, this release has faced hurdles in Bengal, with cancelled launches and alleged political pressure.
