An exciting win for GT this week. Here's the notes:
Lots of Tight and Heavy formations
VT over-shifted to the unbalanced line in the Heavy formation and GT was able to get big plays on the backside
I wasn't sure what to call the play so I went with "Wing Counter" even though there wasn't a pulling G. If anyone has a better name for it let me know
From just cruising through the footage it looks like the defense stepped up to keep the game close
A called Chop Block! which was definitely the right call. I almost freeze framed and telestrated it but decided against it.
I can't tell if I'm concerned about the number of no-gain runs up the middle or if they serve the purpose of scouting how the defense is going to react to them/open up the big play later on
This year's offense (and every offense in the history of football) does a lot better with positive yards on first down /maddencomment
Marshall's reads were pretty good. VT got some backside penetration which shook thing up.
2 penalties on the 2 pt conversion try. Those are killer
