“Justice” traces the full weight and glory of biblical justice—from a world crying out under the burden of evil, to the sobering realization that the same justice exposes our own guilt, and finally to the mercy revealed in Christ.

The song begins with a shared longing: the desire for wrongs to be named, evil to be judged, and truth to be upheld. It gives voice to the ache for justice in a broken world—where violence, corruption, and suffering demand more than silence or denial. Yet as the song unfolds, that cry turns inward. The justice we ask for does not stop at others; it reaches us as well.

Here, justice is not softened or dismissed. Humanity stands without excuse, unable to justify itself or earn righteousness. But the song does not leave justice opposed to love. Instead, it moves toward the cross, where God’s justice is not set aside but fully satisfied. Righteous judgment is poured out—not on the guilty who deserve it, but on Christ, who willingly bears it.

Through the cross, justice does not destroy the sinner; it restores them. Wrath gives way to mercy, and condemnation becomes new life. What we could never accomplish is completed by God Himself, revealing a justice that is not the enemy of grace, but the very means by which grace is made possible.

“Justice” proclaims that God’s holiness, mercy, and glory are not in conflict. They meet perfectly in Christ, where judgment is fulfilled and forgiveness is freely given.
