After Hideyoshi's death, Ieyasu Tokugawa decided that it was up to him to unify Japan once and for all. This didn't settle well with certain people. One of these people, Kanetsugu Naoe, mobilised the entire Uesugi Army against Ieyasu. In the Meanwhile, Mitsunari Ishida, a good friend of Kanesugu, also mobilised his own Army against Ieyasu. Not wanting a fight on two fronts, Ieyasu pulled back, and ordered Masamune Date to defeat Kanesugu. This failed, and now Ieyasu is in a very tight spot...
