A jazz ensemble arrangement of the Woody Shaw composition, Beyond All Limits, has been published and is now available for purchase. This arrangement was inspired by organist Larry Young’s recording of the tune on Unity, a 1966 Blue Note album that featured Woody Shaw, Joe Henderson, and Elvin Jones.
This arrangement is sure to challenge even the best groups due to its form, harmonic progression and tempo. Solo space is provided for tenor sax and trumpet. There are also demanding sax and ensemble solis that follow.
