𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝
On May 14, 2020 my dog named Ruperto passed away and that same day I wrote a poem for him. I felt that he had already realized all of his dreams and achieved all of his goals (be happy). He really had a great life and made everyone around him happy. We exchange love and live great adventures together. He always traveled with me everywhere and was able to see mountains and seas.

Something in that poem caught the attention of Anthony Silvestri who suggested that I make it a choral work. "You must use that poem", he said to me. I felt that it was not important, that it was very intimate material and that in the end no one was going to identify with my relationship with my dog. Why would someone do it?

As a good friend that he is, a few weeks later, Anthony approached me with a version of the poem. As we all know, this version is far superior to my original poem. Anthony is simply a living legend who performs miracles with words. I wrote a minute of music and then I began to solve commissions for pieces. That's why I had to put aside the idea of finishing writing this piece.

I think those two years of the frozen piece were really necessary. That is to say, every day that passes I begin to value life more without distinction of species. Also at that time he began to support animal shelters and have a sense of existence. Do not live life lightly, use this energy that we have to contribute something to everything and everyone around us.
When Willian Perrot came to me saying "I want a piece with instruments for my concert in May" , I didn't doubt for a second that he wanted to write this tribute.

Although it is true that not everyone knew my dog, everyone has the opportunity to reflect so that when the last day comes one can look back and feel "I have given everything, I have lived everything I wanted to live. With courage, and full of the happiness to be surrounded by people I love and who love me."

That said, this piece came to life thanks to people who value it highly. They simply trusted this piece, they accompanied me in this particular feeling and they bet on this work. And that is why this work takes on an even higher value in my life.

Because we find her surrounded by people I love like the Carpenter Family, Elaine Farrar Kondrat, Howard Dawson, Kirsten Goulde, Brian J. Winnie and Julian Bryson. All of them are great friends. And like all my friends, I will give them the best of me because I can't imagine any other way to exist.
