Boston has undoubtedly been the greatest sports city in America during the 21st century. Six Super Bowls. One Stanley Cup. One NBA Championship, and four World Series titles. Massachusetts has had it nicely.

So has the state of California, having witnessed three Stanley Cups, along with those Lakers and Warriors dynasties. Oh, and don’t forget about the LA Angels’ World Series victory...and that San Francisco Giants dynasty…

Illinois and Pennsylvania have won aplenty throughout the years as well, with the Chicago Blackhawks and Pittsburgh Penguins each winning three Stanley Cups.

But while some of these states have been spoiled with consistent winners, other states are just wondering what the heck it will take to be happy again when it comes to their professional sports teams.

In this list, we’re looking at states that have had few or absolutely no championship parades in quite a while. In order to qualify, each of these states must have multiple teams that continue to put their fans through misery.
