Back in the day I remember reading Mary Wollstonecraft and she said that women are not well, and the reason why a lot of us are so catty is because women are encouraged by society to focus on shallow things and not put enough time into being strong, smart and capable individuals. I don't think that her ideas just apply to women, but I think that women would bully each other less if we valued things less conducive to being hateful. How you treat people is a testament to your lifestyle and beliefs. You don't always have to shout your beliefs in people's faces, but take them with you and let them inspire the way you live your life. Be a projection of what your truth means. Keep your mind sharp and eyes open, always check for valid criticism against what you stand for, but if the only criticism is riddled with ignorance, hate and biases, then be confident in yourself and keep truckin'. Ignorance is often the loudest, and that needs to change.
