After the reactor, the product stream is directed to a flash drum, where water is separated from the gas mixture and recycled to the reactor.
In the 2nd part simulation focuses on removing hydrogen from the gaseous product using a hydrogen-selective membrane. Students will learn how to use ASPEN Plus custom modeling to define a membrane, as it is not available in the default unit operations. This involves creating a custom model to represent the membrane's separation properties and integrating it into the flowsheet to achieve the desired separation of hydrogen.
