When designing a modern European kitchen you will need to decide if you would like the cabinets to be with or without handles.
European terminology only considers true handle less kitchens as cabinets which accept a continuous aluminum grip rail inserted throughout an entire row of cabinetry. Such systems can only be made in advanced factories.
The best handle less kitchen is the Leicht Avance style which uses a unique “C” channel technology.
A more typical handle less option uses a “J” channel technology such as the Nobilia line N.
There are other handle less looks which do not use a continuous grip rail system so they are not true handle less kitchens, but still look like they are handle less:
One option is a handle that is formed into the door like the Leicht Pura handle which is formed as part of the door.
Or a handle which is integrated into the door, but as you can see since the cabinets are not connected by a continuous grip rail, the cabinets may not line up perfectly.
Finally, it’s possible to use electrical or mechanical touch latches for a completely seam less look.
Handle less kitchens create a clean modern look which is most symmetrical, but as you can see there are several options so making the best choice to fit your needs is important.
