Golden Age Classical Records - Four Decca London Gems For Beginners

Описание: Another installment in the Golden Age Classical Records Series focusing on the great labels and some of the best titles from the early stereo era - late 1950' to mid 1960's. Today I'm giving you an overview of four titles from the Decca London catalog, starting with London's very first title -Mendelssohn's Midsummer Night's Dream, and forward to the collection entitled España, De Falla's The Three Cornered Hat and Albeniz' Suite Espanola. All of these records are audiophile favorites and have very accessible music that will delight both seasoned classical listeners and those who are new to classical. Although more of an overview than a deep comparison, I do talk about original Decca and London pressings, some of their reissues, as well as Speakers Corner and ORG 45 versions.
