Описание: Meet 29-year-old Begay Njie of The Gambia. She used to carry bags of cosmetics to sell at the weekly market. Now she owns a cosmetics shop and has expanded it into a salon... the only one in town. She proves that young people can 'Tekki Fii' – or 'Make It Here' in Wolof – in The Gambia. She even employs a young woman to provide hair and make-up services. 'I'm paying her at the end of every month,’ Njie said. ‘I'm also paying myself. And yes, still the business is going fine.' She grew her business after receiving a mini grant through the International Trade Centre’s Youth Empowerment Project, funded by the European Union.
