In this video we learn about Wordpress user roles and permissions. Sometime beginners in Wordpress are confused about Wordpress user roles and permissions, so after watching this video you will get better idea about Wordpress user roles and permissions.

There are 5 different user roles in Wordpress. And those different user roles in wordpress are as follow.
1. Administrator Role
2. Editor Role
3. Author Role
4. Contributor Role
5. Subscriber Role

1. Administrator Role 0:26
Administrator is top most Wordpress user role. Administrator has full access to Wordpress back office.
User in Wordpress with administrator role can manage all posts, pages, media and comments.
Administrator can also manage plugins and themes in Wordpress. Administrator can also modify any theme or plugin codes.
Administrator can also manage other Wordpress settings.

2. Editor Role 2:00
Editor has access to manage content part of back office. User in Wordpress with editor user role can manage all posts, pages, media and comments.
But editor does not have access to manage plugins or theme in back office.

3. Author Role 2:37
Author has limited right to it's own posts and media only. That means user with author role in Wordpress can manage posts which publish by itself. Author does not have access to edit or delete any other user's posts or media.

4. Contributor Role 3:25
Contributor has very limited access to posts section in Wordpress back office. Contributor can write post in back office but it can not submit post to publish. It has to submit post for review, then after administrator or editor review that post and publish that post. Contributor does not have access to media library as well. That means user with contributor user role can not upload media file in it's post.

5. Subscriber Role 4:15
Subscriber does not have any rights in back office. Subscriber can only manage it's own profile from back office.
