Описание: I Found GOLD & BLUE SAPPHIRE in Mambilla Plateau Taraba! (Mayo Sina Nguroje) takes us on a journey to Mayo Sina Nguroje in Sardauna Local Government Area of Taraba State where I found Gold and Blue Sapphire in the Mambilla Plateau.

Asides from mineral deposits like Gold and Blue Sapphire, Mayo Sina Nguroje is also rich in other solid minerals, such as tourmaline, topaz, uranium, galena and, limestone.

Gold mining in Nigeria and Blue Sapphire mining in Nigeria alongside other gemstones have however been banned by the Nigerian Government. It is estimated that Taraba State loses 100million naira daily to the illegal mining of these precious gemstones.

But while this is so, the illegal mining of Gold and Blue Sapphire in Mayo Sina Nguroje continues to be a thriving business in the Mambilla Plateau region, with buyers and dealers coming from Central Africa, and as far as Thailand, and India to buy these precious gemstones.
