This rendition is set to the traditional Syriac liturgical melody "Kolo-Al Bethlahem" which is chanted in it’s 2nd Mode based on Syriac Bethgazo (Ekkara),

This hymn honors St. Thomas as the Guardian of India, the saint who brought the light of the Gospel to the shores of Kerala in 52 A.D. The lyrics recount his apostolic journey, the seeds of faith he planted, and his martyrdom, which sealed the beginning of a rich Christian heritage in India.
