The Spring Mountains Visitor Gateway is located in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest within the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area (SMNRA), and located in Clark County approximately 35 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada. The Visitor gateway project is located in the transition zone between the Pinyon Pine / Juniper biome and the Mixed Conifer zone in Middle Kyle Canyon.
The project consists of a new visitor services complex that serves as the gateway for visitor information and education programs for the SMNRA. The complex, designed by LGA Architecture from Las Vegas, includes a wide range of recreation related opportunities including orientation and gathering plazas, a large amphitheater, a group picnic area, open commons areas, a visitor services building, an education facility and interpretive trails.
